Impundulu

Early concept for the We Call On Monsters anime project by Nthinila Phumaphi. This is Aladupe "Ala" Kwane, one of the main characters, and he is what is known as an Impundulu, which is a shape-shifting "lightning bird" who can turn into a full, massive bird, or a human-bird hybrid (as shown in the pic) that can channel lightning through its entire body and move at inhuman speed.
